Custom Fabrication and Set Construction
No project is too large or small for our team to execute. We fabricate unique parts, structures and products tailored to each job’s specific needs, while working closely with our clients to ensure precision fit, functionality and quality. Our team is experienced in working wood, polycarbonate, acrylic, composites, steel, and aluminum.
Robotic Sculpting and CNC Routing
Our 7-axis KUKA robot allows us to efficiently cut foam of various densities with great detail. Combined with our Technical Drafting and Composites Team, this allows us to make one offs or multiples in various sizes. Incorporated into our production process, CNC machining on our flatbed routers increases speed, efficiency, and the quality of completed parts. We also have decades of experience machining parts with Direct-to-Substrate printing.
3D Printing
From rapid prototyping to project components, 3D printing can be used as a cost-effective alternative to subtractive machining, or to supplement a project’s fabricated elements. With a variety of printers in-house, 3dxScenic can incorporate 3D printing into almost any project.
Large Format Printing
From printed signage and branding to incorporated design elements in fabricated scenery, large format printing can bring additional layers to theming and wayfinding. 3dxScenic can enhance any theming through countless media and print colors.
Technical Drafting
3dxScenic’s Technical Drafting team has decades of experience working with CAD software to take creative concepts and convert them into the drawing packets used on the shop floor. We also can incorporate third-party engineering into this service, as part of turn-key design-build solutions.
Fiberglass and Composites
Whether it is an oversized character sculpt, ride vehicle shell, or parade float, 3dxScenic’s Composites Department specializes in high-quality, custom solutions built for strength and durability using both fiberglass and polyurethane hard coat. We focus our attention on the details, using proven techniques and top-grade resins and reinforcements.
Scenic Art
Possessing a key role in visual storytelling, 3dxScenic’s Scenic Art Department transforms the built elements into eye-catching realistic faux finishes, murals, and logos. With backgrounds in both theatre and themed entertainment, our Scenic Art team is experienced in color matching brand assets and intellectual property, and the application of both scenic and industrial paints.
