LAGOON AMUSEMENT PARK – 48′ GERMAN NUTCRACKER “HANS”
When Lagoon Amusement Park decided to add a new Screamin’ Swing ride for the 2026 season, they knew they would need a marketable icon to go along with the massive addition to the park’s lineup of attractions. Enter Hans, a 48′ German Nutcracker Sculpt. The 3dxScenic team collaborated with the park and creative designers in bringing their dreams from sketch to reality. Hans towers over the park’s midway and became an instant icon upon the Nutcracker’s opening day in late March of 2026. Serving to cleverly conceal a large air tank that is needed for the ride’s operation, 3dxScenic designed in strategically placed hatches for ride maintenance and operations personnel to gain access to critical ride components.

PLAYLAND’S CASTAWAY COVE – PIRATE SHIP, PIRATE, KRAKEN & PARROT
In January of 2021, fire consumed the arcade and famous pirate ship on the roof of Playland’s Castaway Cove. Given the landmark status of the pirate ship on the famous boardwalk, guests continuously asked when to expect a replacement. For the 2025 season, 3dxScenic fabricated a new fiberglass Pirate Ship along with Pirate, Parrot, and Kraken sculpts. Debuting along with the new arcade, the future of this family-owned park is stronger than ever.

HOLIDAY WORLD – THEMED PORTALS
After 40 seasons, Holiday World wanted to update the iconic themed portals that welcome guests into the park’s Christmas, Halloween, and 4th of July areas. 3dxScenic collaborated with Holiday World on a full design and build to replace the older portals that dated from the park’s rebranding from Santa Claus Land to Holiday World back in 1984. These portals represent another step by Holiday World ownership to create a more thematic and immersive experience for their guests delivering new memories for generations to come. Utilizing the rainbow from the park’s logo as an overriding aesthetic, the portals were then each given their own unique look ranging from colors and font choice to dimensional plant-ons and LED lighting. Lit spheres containing iconography from each holiday add another layer of whimsy and charm. The three new portals pop with color and light up the walkways after dark, providing guests with an immersive and magical experience.

DOLLYWOOD – HOLLYWOOD STYLE DOLLYWOOD SIGN
For Dollywood’s 40th anniversary, 3dxScenic was honored to have partnered on a new park logo sign influenced by the original iconic Hollywood sign, which was one of Dolly’s biggest inspirations in opening the Dollywood park. This project was the perfect blend of one America’s most loved landmarks with one of the theme park world’s most recognizable logos. The sign was shipped in pre-assembled sections to the park where it was lifted by cranes into place and is now a prominent landmark that can be seen from the busiest area of the park.

HOLIDAY WORLD – GOOD GRAVY RIDE THEMING
3dxScenic’s team and Holiday World collaborated to come up with a selection of oversized Thanksgiving icons for the coaster’s track to weave its way around and through. The park landed on a giant-sized whisk, rolling pin, milk bottle, hand-painted stuffing box, and a classic chicken kitchen timer. The five sculpts take up residence in the area known as “Stuffing Springs” and act both as visuals for those riding the coaster as well as unique photo opportunities for non-riders. Good Gravy was the recipient of Amusement Today’s Golden Ticket Award for Best New Theme Concept, 2024

The new park features a mix of wet and dry attractions along with everyone’s favorite friends from Sesame Street. Our team fabricated 12 character sculpts, the neighborhood facades, Big Bird’s Nest, and new scenery for the Big Bird’s Beach wave pool and Cookie Monster’s funnel slide. Welcoming guests near the front gate is the one-of-a-kind character totem which combines 9 characters into one sculpture and has made for a fan-favorite photo opportunity.

SESAME PLACE – Langhorne, PA – NEIGHBORHOOD FAÇADE

Since opening, millions of guests have visited this legacy park with an amazing mix of attractions and entertainment all based around the Sesame Street Brand. In 2018, 3dxScenic was hired to fabricate new neighborhood facades. Serving as a backdrop for the Sesame Street Party parade and serving as a character meet-and-greet location throughout the day, the new neighborhood facades instantly became a centerpiece of the park. Designed to include Sesame Street staples like Hooper’s Store, Twiddlebug’s Flower Shop, and Big Bird’s nest, the facades also had several interactive elements installed which all resulted in a space for parents and kids to live out their Sesame Street dreams in real life.

UNITED PARKS AND RESORTS – SESAME STREET PARTY PARADE
The Sesame Street Party Parade has become a staple entertainment offering at three of the United Parks and Resorts properties across North America (Sesame Place Philadelphia, Sesame Place, San Diego, and Sea World Orlando). 3dxScenic was asked to fabricate a series of Sesame Street floats depicting familiar scenes and details from the show. From the float structures to the final paint schemes, 3dxScenic collaborated with the park teams on all aspects of these colorful, mobile, performance platforms. Ranging from Hooper’s Store to the Count’s Castle, the floats became the perfect setting and stage for the larger-than-life Sesame Street character friends to take center stage.

LAKE COMPOUNCE – Bristol, CT – ENTRY FEATURE & ATTRACTION SIGNAGE
Lake Compounce got a full makeover to honor the 175th anniversary of America’s oldest continuously operating amusement park. Partnering with Palace Entertainment, our team fabricated several new signs plus the world’s largest carousel horse that instantly became the entry plaza’s new iconic feature. The colors of the massive carousel horse matched the new palette of the rebranded park identity.

GES – Scarborough Town Center – PLANET SANTA
Planet Santa is a one-of-a-kind winter wonderland for parents, kids, and shoppers of all ages to enjoy. 3dxScenic fabricated and installed a unique walk-through holiday experience of Santa’s busy North Pole headquarters featuring displays and details that tracks Santa’s journey across the globe culminating with guests having the opportunity to visit Santa himself.

MAJOR LEAGUE SOCCER – MLS CUP PROMOTION
With the MLS Cup only 8 weeks out, our team was tasked to build a monumental replica of the legendary Philip F. Anschutz Trophy. Standing over 14’ tall, this structure utilized a variety of skillsets 3dxScenic has to offer by combining carpentry, CNC machining, sculpting, and fiberglass all into one component in a very small footprint. Old school fabrication meets new age technology. The curved surface of the trophy added an extra level of complexity for our graphic application team. However, with years of experience and familiarity of the material, our team successfully applied a smooth, polished finish.

GES – HARRY POTTER IP
Christmas in the Wizarding World was a magical holiday activation that took place at the Shops at South Town in Sandy, UT. 3dxScenic’s team worked closely with the creative team at Warner Bros to ensure the facades and interactive elements all met the requirements of the intellectual property and logistically were able to be loaded and transported to the mall’s central court for installation. Fans of Harry Potter flocked to the shopping center to experience the Ollivander’s Wand Shop (where the wand chooses the wizard) and shop for exclusive branded retail items.
